Not saying he will be a superstar here. But he has skills that this team needs. I like his shooting stroke. He should be able to stretch defenses. Then he will often be right there with Puryear as the biggest guy on the court. So could help rebounding.
His problem at Texas was that he really didn't have a natural position. Offensively he can shoot, but didn't really show guard skills. Then at 6'7 he was a little undersized to play in the post. If he has taken advantage of his year off to become more than just a shooter, he can be really good.
