To be honest, Fuller tried to use JW differently.

Remember Haith's suspension and those few games we actually looked more coherent than we usually did under Haith. Fuller put JW at the high post and gave him the ball a decent amount. JW got a few drives to the hole from there and made some good passes out of the high post. Now that did not make him a primary offensive option and it is harder to rebound from the FT/top of the key area.
When Haith got back, that notion was almost completely abandoned.
Kim wanted/needed to JW to play inside and he didn't have the banger attitude for it.
