Vegas lost its home opener to South Alabama, 76-68.
Cheickna Dembele, our prized priority low post recruit that signed with UNLV immediately after visiting us, did not play due to a heel injury. He had to wait until October 5th to finally have his transcripts approved by the NCAA to play this year, but will be eligible if he gets healthy.
Djordj Sljivancanin, the other post player we were targeting that UNLV signed, scored 0 points and had 0 rebounds in 2 minutes of playing time.
