Yes, you are a person, and individual subscribing to the benefits (primary, secondary and college education), healthcare supported by publicly funded research, trained professionals and health systems populated by the same persons and individuals, as well as roadways and a system of laws by which this country, and society functions on a day-to-day basis.
Whether you choose to carry the title does not absolve your responsibility as a citizen of this society to be a citizen who strives to contribute and improve this nation with your actions.
