I think economics has an age effect...liberal early, slowly moderate to conservative, and then liberal again.
Social side is getting more and more liberal over time. The tide turned on gay marriage 4-8 years ago, and I don't think people will change their mind on that as they get older, and the younger generation will be open from the get go.
Trump did a good job of bringing on Pence to get that voter segment, but he hardly represents it at all, and has more or less been in favor of gay marriage in the past.
I think at some point, the Republican party loses ties with the Christian Right
