Meanwhile throughout the country tens of thousands or more young elementary students are going to school not knowing if there will be dinner tonight. Not knowing if their parent(s) will beat them or each other tonight. Not knowing if they will find their mom and/or dad passed out at home after school from drug or alcohol abuse.
