players would have been accepted as a regular student?

Five percent, less?

I have said that anyone who can't get accepted as a regular student should not be a student at my school. I don't plan on winning that one.

Not the walk ons who were given scholarships after their sophomore year. The ones who were offer scholarships out of high school.

Walk ons are often given scholarships to raise the GPA of the football team and improve the graduation rate.

I know two kids at virginia tech who walked on. Great kids. Smart kids. Not D1 players at the major college level. Rudy types. Over achievers. One had a 3.8 GPA and the other about a 3.2.
