Unskilled labor looking for $30 an hour jobs with health care and a pension will significantly raise the manufacturing cost. This will in turn raise the sale price and significantly reduce demand for those vehicles.
What's the point of having a $30 an hour job if you're working only 10 hours a week? Or not working at all?
Ironically, they'll be the first to complain when the price of their coveted F150s start at $40K.
Blue collar America needs to wake up to the necessity of a college degree or learning a technical skill or moving to more prosperous parts of the country. If they think Trump is going to change that reality, they are delusional and in for a rude awakening.
The idea that a high school diploma should guarantee a lifetime of good wages because your father and grandfather were able to do it is outdated and entitled. If you're serious about feeding your family, you'll do what needs to be done, right?
Even if it means getting educated, trained in some technical skill, or moving...
