The biggest challenge is the debt. Stabilize that and trade and the US will be fine. If the world economy turns as a result of the US not printing $$$ for them we could be in for a longer flat period.

The thing nobody is taking into account is that most businesses are running at very efficient levels. The downturn in 07-08 resulted in most companies dumping their bottom 10% of their workforce and very few to date have replaced those employees. Add to that their new sales levels are much lower, have been adjusted as their new normal, and realistic growth levels are expected instead of constant double -digit growth and we have a stable economy.

But but but if holding the debt steady results in enough $$$ to cause an economic collapse we are in for trouble. Don't think it will happen if they just remove the fat
