And that was not being able to turn people down. I have a very minor incurable neurological disease. (Idiopathic neuropathy in both feet.) It is not debilitating, just irritating. I take no drugs for it, I just put up with it. However, I was turned down prior to Obamacare. I was covered on my wife's plan but wanted to buy something more akin to a catastrophic plan but no dice.
The problems with Obama care are that it did not foster competition, and it did not protect doctors from wild torts.
I believe a national option is doable if the 2 major problems are taken into account. I would like to buy health insurance like I buy car insurance. Design a plan for my needs.
