Great pols have all done that. Reagan did that. FDR. Nixon. LBJ. Teddy Roosevelt. Hillary Clinton and Bubba did that. Tip O'Neil did that. You earn your way. Al Gore. The Bush family. Not saying all of these are great pols, but they all succeeded on the national stage. No one jumps to the head of the class. You can't buy your way in. Trump proved that this year.
