a question by posing another:
Your question presupposes an element of causation that I am not implying, i.e. that BECAUSE they are women, their voting "adds nothing."
Second of all, my argument is not that female voting "adds nothing" but that it is fundamentally detrimental to the country. It create a lot of negatives.
Finally, the discussion is about the effects of groups of people, not individuals. Do some women follow and understand politics on a sufficient level to cast a meaningful vote? Of course. But the same can be said of children. You don't create wholesale policy based on exceptional circumstances, but on the big picture effects of that policy.
So to answer your question, I would not say the phrase you misattribute to me to my female family members, but would have no problem explaining my position on female suffrage generally. And if they said "you don't think I should vote?" I would answer them affirmatively.
