Hillary has the mainstream media in her corner, while Trump has Fox News/Business backing him. The other candidates didn't stand a chance with that kind of media bias working against them.
I still remember Lou Hobbs on Fox Business making fun of Marco Rubio like he was some kind of joke. Obviously, Dobbs would like nothing more than to have Trump in the White House, since it would reflect his East Coast business bias. Meanwhile, NBC and CNN are so in bed with Hillary it's disgusting. No wonder America has an even lower opinion of the media than it does of Congress.
