But many here seem to prefer the idea of finding someway to punish these "dirtbags" at extraordinary cost to YOU and your country rather than to see if you can work with them to the benefit of you and your country.
Pretty much your call. We can waste another 4-8 years falling farther and farther behind and wasting untold resources seeking to punish people you find unworthy of the success they have achieved - and yes they have written books that make them a sht-ton, they have ideas and force of personality organizations pay dearly to get a piece of - you would rather punish yourself and hurt the nation as long as their might be some hope, somehow, someway that they might be hurt.
