Despite the fact their median income is over $70K per year. America has very much kept its promise to them, yet they still want to do away with "the system."
For all their bluster about being self-reliant and wanting government to stay off their back, righties are a fearful bunch who have been all too eager to line up behind a false prophet. They want to be saved.
If they'd spent less money on guns, beer and boats and put it in the stock market (the Dow has gone from less than 8K to 18K under Obama), perhaps things wouldn't look so dire to them.
