The Mules return one All-MIAA player from a season ago, junior guard Spencer Reaves, who earned honorable mention all-conference accolades after averaging 12.3 points and 2.5 boards per game.
Eleven different players scored in double figures for the Mules in 2015-16 and six of those players return to the squad this year. Marquiez Lawrence recorded six double-doubles last year. He was the only UCM player to record a double-double during the season.
The Mules projected starting five consists of four returners and one newcomer. Jakob Lowrance, Brett O'Neil, Spencer Reaves and Kyle Wolf all saw significant minutes last season for UCM. Junior college transfer Clarence Smith figures in as the fifth starter early in the season.
