Naumann is a good man. He and I were in the same St. Louis high school, a year apart. I didn't know him then. I do now.
I think the bishops, in general, are conditioned to stay out of political controversy. Now, I think, they need to speak out. There's a building soft religious persecution in the works and this election will determine whether or not it will continue. If Clinton and the Democrats take power it will be unstoppable. Only Trump offers hope that it will be stopped.
