who expected to win. He didn't have much in the way of tools.

Lock on the other hand has tremendous tools but deep down expects to lose. And lose he does.

He may well make it in the pros as a technique widget in somebody's system - but he'll never carry a team on his shoulders like a Chase Daniel, and all who expect him to magically bloom into that are going to be sorely disappointed.

What's happening above the neck can make up for a lot of deficiencies...
