sander's was picked originally, because Hillary couldn't run unopposed, that would have looked bad.
They also needed someone to make Hillary look younger, more moderate.
Bernie was about the only person who could do that.
Plus, bernie's wife was facing jail time for federal fraud. That meant they could control him.
Bernie was a sucker play.
Yet, Hillary is so unlikeable, corrupt, she nearly lost to bernie, and probably would have if the entire dem nomination wasnt rigged.
