accuracy until a week or two before the election. Polling is expensive and since the early polls don't matter so they don't spend much and don't care how representative they are of the electorate. But they all want to claim that their final polls accurately predicted the final results. So they are less likely to oversample partisans. They have been oversampling Democrats, probably because they want to influence the final outcome or their sponsors do. But now that it's crunch time they are beginning to show "trending" toward Trump. I believe the polls that have shown a tight race are the ones that are honest. The nutty outliers like AP's are just that--nutty outliers. Or worse, just liars intended to discourage Trump supporters from voting.
