And yet, no real solid plan has been offered. I think Jeff Sessions grand plan was to give every American $2500 to find whatever plan they want, problem is that amount won't cover most plans for people that need the most coverage.
Things like preventative care, pre existing conditions, lifetime limits, etc will all creep their way back in.
And the worst part is because people will no longer be required to have insurance they will just start using more emergency services and not paying those bills. That means that the cost of services will increase exponentially as providers have to bill more to cover the wrote off expenses. This is bad for both the uninsured and the insured.
