Preserving the Mizzou Arena tradition of presenting the multitude of promotional chicanery, glad-handing, self-indulgent charitable photo ops and self-promotional drudgery during timeouts this year? Alden was always good for 7-10 strolls to center court per game to acknowledge an award winning biology professor, hand out a gigantic cardboard check for $1,400 to the local Boys and Girls Club, or to wave to the crowd as we strutted out our nationally ranked women's softball team for the eleventh game in a row. Rhoades let his assistants assume this role during his brief tenure, since I dont think he attended home men's basketball games, or perhaps even ever lived in Columbia. I dont have a problem with a few of these things now and then, but am hoping Sterk occasionally lets the band play and the Golden Girls dance, particularly if by some chance we are actually winning a conference game at home, instead of resorting to the "Zales Jewelers Kiss-Cam" during the entire timeout . Not that it matters, I don't guess. If a tree falls in the woods........
