It looked to me as if his main points were that

1. The polls were way off... had Jimmy Carter up by 9 pts but Reagan won in a landslide.

2. Speculation that a lot of people weren't telling the pollsters that they were voting for Reagan because so many people were ridiculing Reagan... just an actor, etc.
