He failed in this campaign pure and simple.

He lost all 3 debates because he wasn't prepared. He obviously wouldn't listen to the experts who told him Hillary would be a tough debater. She carved him up and he limped to the finish in all 3.

He didn't have to win the debates, just stay on message and hope for a tie. She poked and poked and he lost his cool and became incoherent.

He's got a lot of excuses, but he got into the big leagues, and hit about .200.
