New York Cardinal Timothy Dolan says if the Hillary Clinton emails were about Islam or Judaism they would have been apologized for.
"If it had been said about the Jewish community, if it had been said about the Islamic community, within 10 minutes there would have been an apology and a complete distancing from those remarks - hasn't happened yet,” Dolan told KRDO-TV.
Recently leaked e-mails show Clinton campaign and Center for American Progress (CAP) leaders insulting the Catholic faith, calling Catholic beliefs “severely backwards,” and urging a “Catholic Spring, in which Catholics themselves demand the end of a middle ages dictatorship.”
On Thursday night, both presidential candidates will be in New York for the Al Smith charity dinner, which benefits Roman Catholic Charities.
Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are expected to deliver remarks at the event presided over by Cardinal Dolan.
