I have been interested in the methods used to propagandize/indoctrinate the American public since the late 1960s. I have to admit I benefited in that regard by observing the blatant propaganda that was rolled out during the Vietnam war and Watergate while I was still in high school and college.
In my view, the American public is heavily propagandized. Just look at the steady diet of pro-military messaging we are bombarded with. Of course the main project is class warfare. (It isn't hard to see which side the media is on)
My point in this post, is some of you trumpers seem to be getting closer to self-realization. Are you ready to admit the American public has been the subject of relentless propaganda campaigns for your entire life? Once you get to that point, start asking what the purposes and consequences of the propaganda campaigns are. Then take a hard look at whether the average person gets any real benefits?
The GOP debates are exhibit No. 1 - as much of the absurd propaganda was repeated and taken to even more hysterical levels.
Or do you guys still buy the absurd cover story that the media are heros staunchly defending the public's right to know? That cover story is so absurd, that the Watergate reporting is still held out as a historic myth. Watergate was a deep state coup. Deep throat was an assistant director of the FBI who reported DIRECTLY to J. Edgar Hoover. He leaked to a "former" naval intelligence officer who just happened to work for a newspaper founded by a former naval intelligence officer - with said newspaper being legendary for its willingness to lead deep state propaganda campaigns. (Note: the CIA wasn't founded until after WWII, so the intelligence agencies were located in the pentagon.)
