We should note that for over 100 years, MU played in a conference that was head and shoulders above the SEC or the leagues that other "newbies" came from. The SWC was not a tough hoops league either. So while ku wasn't Kentucky, nobody in the SEC or SWC was Okie, Okie St, Iowa St, even kstate back in the day on a consistent basis. Oh LSU had a year here of there. Houston had their little run. But not like the Big 8 or 12.
Without researching it, I'd bet Florida had a losing record prior to 1990.
The only thing in here that surprises me at all is Bama and Tennessee. But again, a slightly better win% against easier competition and nothing really to hang their hat on.
