Stupid elites took their main voting base for granted.

They know the lower middle class or poor white rednecky voter isn't going to vote for any hard core liberal trash. They wouldn't even bother trying to appeal to these people other than through the 2nd amendment.

Finally they get a guy up there speaking tough on illegal immigration and taking in refugees from Islamic countries, a guy willing to hit on the trade deficit with China and the national debt, to quit spending so much money overseas protecting other countries and propping up their governments, and it appealed to the main stream conservative voters.

If any of the candidates in the primary had the balls to address these issues instead of pandering to the lobbyists and the small percentage of wealthy elite, they probably could have beaten Trump and then beaten Hillary.

Hopefully after they lose to the first woman and a completely despicable person at that, maybe they'll change their tone and message the next time around. Hopefully someone with a little bit of tact will but I won't hold my breath.
