election report summaries. You will see numbers like
Total registered voters
Ballots cast
Times counted
Over votes
Undervotes
and of course race totals. First one speaks for itself. That's the number of possible voters in a certain race
Ballots cast is literally the number of ballots that are pushed through the scanners.
Times counted is number of people that actually made a mark on a particular race. Many skip races so the times counted and ballots cast numbers never match
Undervotes are skipped races
Overvotes are people that marked more than one oval on a race
