Paul Ryan was deep in conversation with acquaintances at a crowded Cleveland convention and did not notice the figure to his right on a gold plated chair — until, he recalls, his fingers slid under his pants, moved up his inner thigh, and invaded his political party.
Ryan shoved the hand away, fled the couch and turned to take his first good look at the man who invaded his party, he said.
He recognized him as Donald Trump: “He was so distinctive looking — with the hair and the eyebrows. I mean, nobody else has those eyebrows.”
“When you’re a star, they let you do it,” Trump says. “You can do anything ― grab them by the party. You can do anything.”
