Should we let the people of NYC, LA, Chicago have so much influence over everyone else?
These 15 million, essentially dominate their state elections. CA = 55, NY = 29, IL = 20.
That's 104 votes, 270 needed to win. 40% of the winning amount.
It allows our country of 320 million (280 minus immigrants), to be ruled by the whims of 15 million.
About 5% of the entire population.
The electoral votes need to be readjusted, to remove this influence. Instead of a winner take all for each state, change it to match voting percentages.
In other words, instead of Hillary getting 55 electoral votes for winning california (55 to 45 ), she gets 30.
every state becomes important again, instead of just a few.
