Reading what they do within polls do "adjust" them back to a n election won by an incumbent I am not sure if that is the right thing to do.

However, the pollsters had it fairly correct within the Republican nomination by in large, and the media ignored the polls then.

I could see so much happening....dems stay home because they think it is in the bag. Trump supporters come out in force and just overwhelm the system. Lots of independents vote for 3rd party candidates that mess up voting pattern..I might dare say maybe 20% of the electorate is positive about their choice for Presient...the rest are voting based off of fear of Trump or Hillary and what they represent. I do make fun of the Trump supporters, but the support is real
