I think that analysis is flawed in at least a couple of area

One that I saw cherry picked the start date... If at "x-date" whatever that date was, I don't remember he would have earned more if he took all he owned & put it in an S&P 500 he would have as much or more than he now has. It was not the original start date when his father allegedly gave him the loan he started with. Different start dates would give very different results.
The amount of the loan is in dispute and makes a major difference in the end estimated results.
It assumes no taxes were taken from the investment each year.
It assumes he used none of the money at any time for his own living expenses.
