Q: What is the connection between the Devil and Flys?
now in many movies, and books, the fly is used as a symbol of the devil(much like a goats head, or inverted pentagram). My question, what is the connection? why is the fly used as a symbol for the Devil/Satan?
Best Answer: I'm sure Beelzebub sounds familiar to you...it was a pagan deity worshiped in the ancient Middle East. His name literally meant "Lord of the Flies", and Jewish people later associated him with a demonic figure, the Devil.
