Per your question - until or unless we implement serious campaign finance reform with TEETH in this country, nothing will change. The pols are pawns of the power with the money. That power told the pawns NO PUBLIC OPTION and what did we get no MENTION of a public option. That is one example. Wall St reform is crucial. But no pol will touch or face losing their job in the next election. MANY of the pols get in the business for the pension and benefits which are NUTS and then to become a very well-heeled lobbyist.
