about the media being the propaganda arm of the DNC.

The media knew about the "blue dress" thing with wild bill for weeks. Spiked the story. To your point, they probably didn't have 27 pieces or corroborating evidence and a signed deposition from eight eyewitnesses. As good "journalists" they couldn't print rumors, only substantiated facts.

When drudge broke the story, the media suddenly had information that they could print.

Now, the washington post can say, "See, we ran many articles about this." (After sitting on it as long as we could.)

The media is out there looking for old stories (romney's FIFTY YEAR OLD story of bullying a classmate) to hurt republicans. But it takes illegal acts by foreigners to dig up the truth on democrats.
