We're not some emerging nation that's teetering on the edge waiting for something to go well or terribly to seal our fate for the next couple of decades. He can't mess up that badly, and the worst case scenario (as far as I can see) results in having other countries in the world not depend on the US as much for security.

It's not like he's going to raise an army to conquer Europe or anything.
