Maybe, but I think the motivation is more survival than payback, although I'm sure that plays a role.
They don't want a nationalist, populist, ant-globalist in the white house or representing their party.
There simply is too much $$$ in the status quo for all involved.
Invade the world, invite the world is the goal of the elites in both parties.
