He signed NAFTA and helped gut the American working class. He whiffed on Bin Laden before 9/11. He did enact welfare reform. The economy happened to perform well while he was President. His policies encouraged the subprime mortgage market which led directly to the financial bubble and crash of 2008, although GWB's fingerprints are on that as well.

What was so great about him?

Notice I didn't even touch the personal stuff.
