due to the 3 point line. He had a mid range game. The 3 point line has made today's players lazy. They don't work on their game to develop a complete game. Watch how many times Joe Scott gets the opponent moving off the dribble and then pulls up for an open jump shot. Today they have a 3 point game and layups - and nothing else.
There are exceptions but it is an accurate description of today's game.
