, ok, not really as we all know that would be an infringement of her rights and "putting her in a cage" would be an even more egregious infringement of her rights & retribution would be a real no-no there.

But her dead child would have obviously had every right to self-defense, and the aggrieved father would have had a right to sue her in some private court... though she would have every right to tell any such private court to go jump off a cliff, of course.

The killer mother would obviously be subject to knowing glances from others who knew that she had infringed upon the rights of her child. They would also have every right to not associate with her if they so chose.

The girl could have easily avoided infringing upon the rights of the child (at least in Pickletopia) by just gently setting her child out on the porch to die... or just letting her(?) die in the apartment if she preferred.
