the fans at the game vote him out. Don't announce who the new coach is until the team runs on the court prior to the next game.

Imagine the excitement from the fans not knowing who the coach is until just prior to the game. Mizzou Arena would be packed to the rafters with fans anxiously awaiting the new coach's identity to be revealed.

And don't just hire basketball coaches to coach basketball. Hire celebrities. Singers, politicians, actors. Basketball is boring when coached by a basketball coach. After each game there is a fan vote to determine whether the coach is fired.
