USG paid millions to produce sunni militant videos. The official cover story is this was done to "track who viewed the videos on the internet."

The idea that the US has promoted sectarianism by promoting radial islam is widely held in the middle east. This is consistent with the activities of our vassal state, Saudi Arabia.

Wonder how this will play with Iraq public opinion.

There was a long intense terrorism campaign in Iraq in the 2005-2011 time frame targeting s_hites. I posted repeatedly on this board that a campaign of that size and duration was impossible without the support of some national intelligence services. This is obvious. Given how things have unfolded in Syria, our Gulf vassal states were clearly involved. They would not do this without USG approval.
