First, the jury is very much out on a guy who's four games into his head-coaching career. I'm as optimistic as you, but it's way too early in the game to qualify that hire as a success. Time will tell.
Second, he's a true son who happened to have some cache in the coaching world. How many of those are there?
So tell me again, who do you want to hire at a bargain basement price to start over again with a brand new roster? Who's going to make it better? The best person for that job is the guy we already have.
If the administration is willing to pay $4M for a name coach, let's do it. But they're not.
