I understand the narrative that Witter plays because he holds on to the ball and blocks. But what happens if/when he does fumble? It's not exactly shocking for a back to fumble now and then, and Crockett has only done it twice that I know of. Our go-to WR has fumbled at least a couple times and I don't hear anyone saying J'mon should be benched (though there probably are some here who would like that). I just think it's only a matter of time before Crockett and Strong are the featured backs, and it will also be good to have Witter for another year for the very reasons he's playing so much now.
