around electrical lighting and lately, outdoor garden lighting. Visited some manufacturing plants.
Working in electrical industry all his life, one of the things that caught his attention was the lack of an electrical code. Wires just pulled in/out of wall panels and not in conduit. Holes through walls for wire runs just filled with caulk (wires not in conduit and certainly not fire caulk).
Another friend commented new manufacturing plants in Mexico are worse.
It will be interesting to see this "global economy" survive when the players refuse to follow any codes for manufacturing. If they are that lax about electrical code, what about fire code? What about engineering practices for safe buildings?
We are fighting the global economy zealots with both arms tied behind our backs.
