during WWII, my dad and uncle in Vietnam, a cousin in Iraq and Afghanistan. Four of the five are West Pointers. One Purple Heart (Dad). I respect those who serve in the military, and lord knows I wasn't cut out for it. But Dave, I totally agree with you. I was at my nephew's football game last Friday and the PA guy comes on and says "O.k. everybody up, remove your hats and lets honor the men and women who serve by singing our National Anthem." I called bull****, it's NOT for our military. It's for the United States of America, period. Ironically, I'm guessing most who are for flyovers at t-ball games would be the ones calling liberal folks "PC". But you know what, everything being a salute to the military is every bit as PC as anything going on on MU's campus right now, and by saying that I'll be automatically labeled unpatriotic and probably other things too. A veteran's opinion is not more valid than mine, and God bless 'em for serving.
