Both his parents went to MU, his brother was here, MU was ranked #3 in the nation in the preseason, was opening a brand new arena, had a recruiting dynamo as a head coach, etc.

I don't know Tyler personally so obviously I'm projecting a bit, but everything that was ever posted on here or any public information at the time indicated that MU was his primary and desired choice. Later that changed when MU tanked on the court, the investigation became an embarrassment, and our leadership was so futile.
