I can't believe some fans are actually offended by the 14 point spread and think we are facing a demoralized, disorganized team.
Before the season I believe the overwhelming majority of fans would have said this is the most unwinnable game on our schedule, by far. And now I think it's even worse. Like you said, hope I'm wrong too. LSU may not be a top 10 team, but they have more talent than us all across the board, except maybe at QB. But if Lock thinks WV was tough on the road, he has no idea what Death Valley is like. It is probably the toughest place to play in the country at night, hands down. Yes, Mizzou is better than last year, but whether we are marginally better or significantly better is hard to say. Throw out the EMU and DSU games, they mean nothing. And if GA is not even a top 20 team (based on their performance I think they are not), then the idea we are going to waltz into Death Valley and whip LSU is a pipe dream. Yeah, LSU was over ranked in the pre season. No question. But the loss to Wisconsin doesn't look so bad now does it. And Auburn nearly beat Clemson at home. That's a tough place to play.
LSU players loved Miles. They are going to be so fired up and angry and wanting to both win for the new coach and to win one for Miles, it's not even funny. They have a lot of pride there. I see Mizzou getting rolled, frankly. And giving up 4-5 turnovers in the intense pressure of Death Valley, with Lock throwing several INTs. Again, hope I'm wrong.
