The courts have ruled that a checkpoint, with published notice given and under strict guidelines is not an unreasonable search and seizure.
Your opinion is of no consequence. It's the law of the land that matters.
And having alcohol on your breath is the epitome of probable cause during a traffic stop. That's why every DWI police narrative in the history of mankind automatically includes a statement from the officer that they smelled alcohol on the breath of the driver at the beginning of the stop.
